Bacon-Blue Cheese Stuffed Dates Recipe

The natural world can be quite tasty. An example would be this recipe, which is one of the best at demonstrating how little work it really takes to make food taste amazing.

Sweet, salty, smokey, creamy: these little packets transport you to the pinnacles of flavour nation in just one bite. A single,

natural date wrapped in delectable bacon and blue cheese is contained in every bite. Allow me to enumerate a few of the numerous health advantages of dates,

sans the guilt associated with the bacon or blue cheese (laugh). Dates are known to support brain function and are high in fibre and antioxidants that help fend against disease.

When you bring these tiny treasures to a potluck or party, you'll find that you and your dates start receiving invitations to fancy events all around the city.

Medjool dates Eight 8 almonds 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese Four half-bacon strips Black pepper to taste

Heat the oven to 425°F. To reveal the date pocket, cut it across with a sharp paring knife. Replace the date's tiny pit with an almond. Fill the pocket with 1/2 tablespoon of blue cheese, ensuring it is snugly stuffed but not overflowing.

Place the date in the bottom of a bacon strip half and roll tightly. Secure with toothpick. Repeat 7 more dates. Bake the dates on a nonstick baking sheet for 20 minutes until the bacon is crispy and golden. Serve with black pepper on top.
