For 'Yellowstone' Season 5, Q'orianka Kilcher Returns amid Workers' Compensation Fraud Case

Deadline claims that Q'orianka Kilcher will return to Yellowstone season 5 amid an insurance fraud lawsuit.

On Nov. 13, Kilcher will reprise her role as Angela Blue Thunder, a powerful attorney on the Paramount Network hit. Her character last appeared in 2020's third season.

The 32-year-old actress was charged with two felony counts of workers' compensation insurance fraud in July by the California Department of Insurance for claiming disability payments while working on Yellowstone.

In their press announcement, Kilcher said she injured her neck and right shoulder while filming Dora and the Lost City of Gold, a 2019 Paramount Players feature.

Authorities said Kilcher told a doctor she was too injured to work when filming her recurring part in Yellowstone season 3 three years ago.

She received $96,838 in disability payments from Oct. 14, 2019, to Sept. 9, 2021. She self-surrendered and pled not guilty at her May 27 arraignment, Law360 said.

Last month, a source close to Kilcher told PEOPLE that she was blindsided by the charges ahead of her Sept. 7 Los Angeles hearing.

"She was shocked, to say the least, about the charges and is looking forward to getting the truth out there," a source said. "A vehicle accident on Dora's set left her 10% crippled for life.
