Grilled Banana Pudding

This recipe combines the smoky flavor of grilled bananas with the creamy goodness of traditional banana pudding. 

Ingredients: Grilled Bananas:4 ripe bananas, unpeeled 2 tablespoons melted butter 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Pudding: – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 2 cups whole milk – 3 large egg yolks, lightly beaten – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Whipped Cream: – 1 cup heavy cream – 2 tablespoons powdered sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Assembling: – 1 box vanilla wafer – Additional banana slices (optional) – Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Grill the Bananas: – Preheat your grill to medium heat. – In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. – Cut the unpeeled bananas in half lengthwise. – Brush the cut sides of the bananas with the butter mixture. – Place the bananas cut side down on the grill.

Make the Pudding: – In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt. – Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. – Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. – Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.

Make the Whipped Cream:In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until stiff peaks form. – 

Assemble the Banana Pudding: – In a serving dish or individual cups, layer the vanilla wafers, grilled banana slices, and pudding. – Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of pudding on top.

Chill and Serve: – Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld. – Serve chilled and enjoy!
