Ja Morant of the Grizzlies loses $40 million after failing to make All-NBA.

Morant needs to be named All-NBA in order for the contract he signed last summer to be upgraded to super max.

and two steals per game this season for a Grizzlies club that finished second in the West for the second year in a row,

Morant did not make any of the three All-NBA teams revealed on Wednesday.
